- About this Video
- The 456 kilometere-long Sixth Stage of the Dakar 2011 took the pilots through the Atacama desert from Iquique to Arica on Friday. Arica is the closest Chilean town to the Peruvian border and the route there was not on easy terrain. The pilots had to make their way through sand dunes and manage to deal with the "guadal", a very light dust that covered the tracks and made them slippery.
