Red Bull Flugtag lands in the Caribbean for the first time! Trinidad & Tobago, home of one of the best carnivals in the world will now have the opportunity to show off its creativity by attempting to fly random creations on Sunday July 3rd in William’s Bay Chaguaramas.

Red Bull Flugtag is ready for take-off!

After months of preparation Red Bull Flugtag is ready for takeoff. On Sunday July3rd at William’s Bay, Chaguaramas forty teams hope to defy gravity and take flight seeking to break the current world record of 207ft.

While there is a serious competitive spirit among the participants, the spectators can look forward to a day full of wacky skits and some serious flying (hopefully!). Here are some tips to enjoy Red bull Flugtag, the ultimate FREE spectator event

Ways to beat the traffic:
• Spectators are invited to come out early and organize their space for the best vantage points of the flights. If you aren’t into getting up early you are welcome to camp out on the beach the night before... if that suits your fancy plus that way you don’t miss any of the action!
• The best way all spectators can contribute to aliviate traffic is to car pool or organize maxis to come down to the event. Make it a fun day get your crew! If you will be drinking, remember to bring along your designated driver as well.
• There will be a heavy police presence on the main road leading to the venue. Please respect the police. They will be on hand to help maintain a smooth flow of traffic. NO parking will be allowed on the main road leading to the venue.

At the Venue:
• So everyone can just concentrate on having a good time, there will be heavy police presence in and around William’s Bay to ensure everyone’s safety.
• For those driving, there will be sufficient secure parking after Pier 1.
• There will be food and drinks for sale as well as rest rooms at William's Bay.
• Boat and kayak owners get the best view from the water! The Coast Guard asks all to obey water safety rules and regulations: Maintain a slow speed within the bay and stay out of the restricted areas which will be clearly marked by buoys. Remember that no Jet Skis are allowed in the area.
What to bring:
• Sunscreen and sunglasses
• Plenty of water! It’s a long day under the sun, and some Red Bull to keep the energy up!
• Food, our suggestion the traditional one pot beach favourite Pelau will make life easy from preparation to consumption...yum!
• While there will be bins on the beach for trash it’s always good to bring a bag for your garbage. Let’s take care of mother-nature as she takes care of us.
• Binoculars. Just in case someone does make it across to Venezuela you wouldn’t want to miss that now would you?
• Beach mats, towels and chairs so you can be comfy while you enjoy the wackiness of the day.
