Barely old enough to hold a driving licence, Jonas Folger participated in his first full world championship season in 2009, competing in the 125cc class. But, in truth, Folger has been riding motorcycles since he was four years old. It is not his first world championship experience, however, having competed in six races towards the end of the 2008 season following a 2007 that was plagued with crashes, injuries and technical problems. However, that bad experience paid dividends when Folger registered two top ten finishes in his opening two races in 2009, but it was in his fourth race of the season where the German prodigy earned his first podium finish – aged 16 - finishing second at Le Mans. Folger has the world at his feet and with progression through the classes in his sights, he will undoubtedly be one to watch in MotoGP.
