Spanish MotoGP rider Dani Pedrosa had a mixed weekend in Brno at the Czech Grand Prix, with the delight of a pole position tempered by an early crash in the race itself. Here are Dani's thoughts in his latest blog.

Hello everyone,

The Czech Grand Prix was an almost perfect weekend, even if I missed out on the final reward. The fall on Sunday prevented us from fighting for victory after having enjoyed some great days. Since Friday I had a very good feeling with the bike and I was physically fine after the summer break.

The truth is that the fall was a bit odd, but these things happen. As they say, that's racing and if I learned anything this year is that we must be philiosophical about these moments. Furthermore, if we balance the entire Grand Prix in Brno we should be satisfied: throughout the weekend we were very competitive and we were recording quick times. Both the bike and the team were perfect.

Another positive aspect of the weekend was that after the break I felt a lot better on the bike. The weeks of rest have been very good to recover from my shoulder injury and during the Friday and Saturday I felt much better riding.

As you know, yesterday I was testing the bike for next year. I was already looking forward to getting on it, because I missed the Jerez test due to injury. First impressions were good, but obviously there is still much work to do. It is only the first stages of contact with the bike, but these workouts are very important for riders to give our opinion and ideas to, together, define the direction you have to go to develop the new bike.

And now it's another week of rest before traveling, and on Wednesday next, the United States. We travel across the pond, this time to go to Indianapolis, a classic circuit, where it is also very nice so it's always special to run there.

Greetings to all,

Dani
