Dani Pedrosa is on the road to recovery following an operation on his injured shoulder. In his latest blog, the Spaniard talks about his rehabilitation and his hopes of getting back on the bike prior to the next MotoGP race in Portugal.
¡Hola a todos!
I want to tell you all how I’m doing after a few days of rest following the operation. It went well and at the moment I am following the recommendations made by the doctors to make sure my recovery goes as well as possible. Today, I had a routine check-up and everything seems to be going to plan, although you have to be cautious with these things until you actually get back on the bike.
The important thing is to see what it feels like when I'm back on the bike and if I’m able to forget about the problems I’ve had. As I’ve said, I’ve been resting quietly at home these last few days and following the usual course recommended by doctors in these cases. Although my recuperation has coincided with a break in the racing calendar, I really want to get back to competition, work with the team and above all get back on the bike!
Looking back at what has happened, we will arrive in Portugal with 36 points, only nine behind the leader. It’s a very good position to be in at the start of a championship, particularly considering the injury.
I want to thank everyone for the messages of support that I have been receiving recently and the interest you have shown in how I’m feeling. It all adds to my recovery and increases my determination to get back to my best at Estoril. To know that you are there is very important.
¡Saludos!
Dani
